The 90-Day Promise

Feed it every day for up to 90 days. If your dog isn't getting up, walking or climbing more easily, email us and we refund the lot. Nothing to send back.

For dogs who hesitate at the stairs, take longer to get up in the morning, or have quietly stopped jumping on the sofa.

Limberpaw Hip & Joint Chews put six clinically studied joint ingredients, at the doses used in the studies, into one soft chicken-flavoured chew your dog takes as a treat. Feed it every day and most owners see their dog moving more freely within 3 to 6 weeks.

Made in the UK. Every dose printed on the label. Backed by our 90-Day Promise: if you don't see a difference, we refund every penny and you keep the pot.

Senior dog hesitating at the bottom of the stairs

Does this sound like your dog?

It starts small. Then one day they stop coming upstairs.

  • They pause at the bottom of the stairs, then decide against it
  • Getting up in the morning takes a couple of tries
  • They've stopped jumping on the sofa or into the car
  • Walks get shorter. They turn for home before you do
  • They lick or chew at a hip or a knee
  • You've caught yourself saying “they're just getting old”

It isn't “just age”. It's cartilage wearing thin, a little more every month. Dogs don't complain about it. They adapt, go quiet, and do less. By the time you see a limp, it has usually been going on for a year.

The good news: joints are living tissue. Give them the right building blocks every single day and most dogs start moving more freely within 3 to 6 weeks.

What's actually going on

Why your dog went quiet before they went lame

Joint wear is silent for a long time. Here's what happens inside a hip or a knee as a dog gets older, and where a daily chew fits in.

1

The cushion thins

Cartilage is the smooth pad between two bones. From around age 7 (earlier in big breeds) it wears faster than the body rebuilds it. Nothing shows yet.

2

They adapt

Dogs don't yelp about a dull ache. They shift weight, shorten their stride, skip the sofa. You read it as “slowing down”. It's them managing discomfort.

3

Feed the joint daily

Glucosamine, chondroitin and green-lipped mussel are the raw materials cartilage is built from. Given every day, at real doses, they let the joint keep up with the wear.

Limberpaw pot with its six ingredients laid out

Six ingredients. Real doses. Printed on the label.

Most joint tablets won't tell you how much is inside. We do.

Every chew carries the amounts below. Compare that to the label on the pot in your cupboard.

Glucosamine HCl500 mg

The main building block of cartilage. The form used in the veterinary studies.

Chondroitin sulphate250 mg

Draws water into cartilage so it cushions instead of grinds.

Green-lipped mussel200 mg

From New Zealand. Studied specifically in older dogs for comfort and mobility.

MSM250 mg

A sulphur compound that supports comfort after activity.

Turmeric + black pepper100 mg

Black pepper is what makes turmeric absorbable. Most brands skip it.

Omega-3 fish oil100 mg

For the joints, and the shinier coat owners keep mentioning.

What to expect

Week by week, honestly

This isn't a painkiller. It rebuilds slowly, which is why it lasts. Here's the pattern owners tell us about.

Week 1 to 2

They eat it. That's it.

Your dog takes the chew like a treat. Nothing visible changes yet. That's normal, the ingredients are building up in the joint.

Week 3 to 4

Quicker off the bed

The first thing most owners notice: the morning stand-up takes one go instead of three. A bit more tail.

Week 5 to 8

Stairs, sofa, longer walks

The stuff they'd quietly given up on starts coming back. This is when owners usually send us a photo.

Week 12+

The new normal

Keep feeding daily. Stop, and the joint goes back to losing the race. That's why we made the monthly pot easy.

What it costs to do nothing

89p a day. Or wait, and pay the vet instead.

Joint wear doesn't stop by itself. The usual road is: a limp, a vet visit, anti-inflammatories every month with blood tests to check the liver, and eventually injections. Owners tell us the bill for that road runs into the hundreds a year, and it starts once the damage is done.

Vet consultation for a limpfrom £50
Monthly prescription anti-inflammatories + liver checks£40 to £80 / month

« She's back on the sofa »

Molly is 11 and hadn't jumped on the sofa in a year. Four weeks on Limberpaw and she's up there every evening like nothing happened.

« No more stopping on the stairs »

Barney used to stop halfway up. He doesn't stop any more. And he actually looks forward to his chew, which never happened with the tablets.

« Tried this before the expensive one »

The vet quoted me for something four times the price. I tried this first. Six weeks in, I'm glad I did.

« He eats it like a treat »

I've thrown away more supplements than I care to admit because he wouldn't touch them. This one he sits and waits for.

Why owners switch to Limberpaw

Most joint supplements are pills your dog spits out, or powders that sit on the bowl. And most won't tell you how much of anything is inside.

Owner giving a Limberpaw chew to a senior dog

Why we made it

We got tired of hiding tablets in cheese.

Bramble, a twelve-year-old springer, had stopped coming upstairs. Her owner bought three supplements from the pet shop. Two were tablets Bramble spat straight back out. One was a powder that sat untouched on her dinner. None of them said how much of anything was inside.

So we made the one we couldn't find: the six ingredients vets actually talk about, at the doses used in the studies, in a soft chew a dog wants, made in a licensed UK facility, and priced so you can keep going every single day.

Questions owners ask us

How long until I see a difference?

Most owners notice their dog getting up more easily within 3 to 6 weeks. Stairs, sofa and longer walks usually follow between weeks 5 and 8. That's why we give you 90 days to judge, not 14.

My dog is 13. Is it too late?

No. Older joints respond more slowly, but they do respond. Our oldest regulars are 15 and 16. Give it the full 90 days and if you see nothing, we refund you.

What if he won't eat it?

It's a soft chicken-flavoured chew, and the vast majority of dogs take it from your hand. If yours is the exception, email us and we refund you under the 90-Day Promise. You don't even need to send it back.

How is this different from the big-brand tablets?

Three things. It's a chew, not a tablet, so it actually gets eaten. It contains green-lipped mussel and chondroitin at real doses, not a trace. And the doses are printed on the label so you can compare.

Can I give it alongside what the vet prescribed?

Limberpaw is a complementary feed with food-grade ingredients and is commonly fed alongside prescription treatment. Because every dog is different, check with your vet first if your dog is on medication.

Will it upset their stomach?

It's grain-free with no artificial colours or fillers, and we suggest feeding it with or after food. Sensitive dogs can start on half the dose for the first week.

How many chews does my dog need?

Up to 10 kg: 1 a day. 10 to 25 kg: 2 a day. Over 25 kg: 3 a day. One pot holds 60 chews.

How does the subscription work?

Choose “Deliver monthly” on the product page. You save 20% on every pot and delivery is free. Pause, skip or cancel from your account, no minimum term.
